Wow, the email we received about the branding and label we did for Seaside Pearl’s Interurban Cabernet Foch from Stephen Plant from the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society to Seaside Pearl really made our day!
“Seaside Pearl create wines we enjoy drinking to enrich every occasion – wines to be enjoyed with good friends.”
When it came time for Seaside Pearl winery to name their wines, we just kept coming back to Mount Lehman’s historic charm and deep agricultural history.
Our consultations with local historians and long-time residents led us towards names that are rich with the settlement stories of the pioneers and early settlers in Mount Lehman.
There is a story behind every bottle of wine, and every wine name. We soon discovered that names inspired by Mount Lehman’s history really work for our wines and embody Seaside Pearl and our love of this beautiful place.
We loved the symbolism of the pioneering spirit combined with the beauty and peaceful ambience of this tranquil environment.
“I visited your winery on Sunday. Very impressed. What attracted me there was the wine bottle (Interurban) with the interurban on the label.
I am a longstanding director of the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society (www.fvhr.org). Please check us out.
Of the over 500 electric cars that ran on the BC Electric Railway only 4 are left that could run. We own all four and have them stored in our facility in Cloverdale.
We have two of them running and the other two are being rehabilitated. Of the cars that actually ran out to Chilliwack only one of those survived. This is car 1304 “ The Connaught”. It will start running the first week of May.
I would like to invite the two owners to come out to our facility this spring and ride on our train and visit our Discovery Centre. You will be my guests.”
Director of Guest Experience.
We were just intrigued with the story of the Connaught- we think it would be a regal name for a wine!
Stephen went on to tell us:
“You would be very interested in the story of the “ Connaught” car- it has quite a history.
It has a historical attachment to the Royal Family, in fact we have a letter from Queen Elizabeth thanking us for our work on the car.”
We can’t wait for our tour! All aboard!
